PostHeaderIcon Kindle Has No Glare

It has been a dark and dreary day today.  The forecast called for a nice sunny day and I was looking to go spend some time out in the sun.  Unfortunately, the weather man was wrong and there are cloudy skies and rain coming down.  I was so excited that I was going to spend some time out in the sun and read with my new Kindle 3.  I wanted to test how well I could read while out in the sun.  When I read inside there is no glare, but I wanted to test out what they were saying on the reviews if there was no glare while reading in the sun.

It was my day off and the weather was great yesterday, but it did not last.  Now I am just reading I was out in the sun soaking up the rays.  I guess I will have to wait to test out the reviews of there being no glare while reading out in the sun.  I am still glad that I purchased the Kindle 3 because it offers so much more.

Although, I have been unable to test out the glare on the screen it is much easier to read with.  The text is a little darker with the high-contrast e ink screen.  It is 50% better and the fonts are a little bit crisper.  It is also 17% lighter than the other Kindles and weighs just 8.5 ounces.  The battery life lasts up one month on a single charge and you still are able to store 3,500 books just like the Kindle DX.  It comes in graphite or white and you can get it with Wi-Fi.  The page turn is 20% faster, which allows you to have seamless reading.  So I am satisfied with my Kindle 3 and all these features, but just can’t wait to read with it on a sunny day.
